Gift In A Jar

Below you will find the recipe to the Gift in a Jar that we did for RS on Thursday.  We had a great time and enjoyed your company.  Have a great week!

1 1/2 C all-purpose flour
1 C jpacked light brown sugar
3/4 C candy-coated chocolate pieces
1/2 C salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 C raisins
1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 t baking soda
1/4 t salt.

1. Layer ingredients attractively in any order into 1-quart food storage jar with tight fitting lid.  Pack ingredients down slightly before adding another layer.
2. Cover top of jar with fabric; attach gift tag with raffia or ribbon.  Makes 1 quart jar


Your tag on how to bake the cookies could be printed up on a label and put on the side of the jar, or printed out and tied with raffia.  Here are the directions for your tag:

~Save your cans!  We are holding the "Canned Food Drive and Auction" next Wed. (10/7). We collect food for the Orange County Food Bank in a fun, auction activity for the Youth of our ward and Placentia 2nd Ward.
